Attending the 2018 Kitchen and Bath Show (KBIS) is like going to Disney Land for a designer. There is so much to see and take in that it can be downright overwhelming. If you work in the kitchen and bath industry it is absolutely worth attending. If you are a homeowner about to embark on a kitchen or bath reno then I hope you will feel inspired and educated by the trends and products I have shared. In previous posts I wrote about 2018 color trends for kitchens and baths HERE. I also shared six additional kitchen and bath show trends from the show HERE.
Overall, the kitchen and bath industry is moving toward making our lives better. There is a collective focus on health and well being with an ultimate goal of creating a home that is our sanctuary. In looking over my photos I chose seven of my favorite products to share with you. This is not a sponsored post. It is simply seven of my favorite products from the 2018 Kitchen and Bath Show that I loved. Side Note: As much as I adore those $20,000 French ranges and $18,000 Smart refrigerators, I’m sharing my more “reasonably priced” finds.
1. Stain proof marble
Yes, you read that right, STAIN PROOF!! Marble counter tops, the soft, porous beautiful natural stone that drives us crazy with it’s beauty yet required high maintenance. Well thank the chemists because Italian stone manufacturer Antolini has solved the problem. Antolini has introduced a revolutionary treatment called Azerocare. Azerocare is the first of its kind to give polished marbles, onyxes, and soft quartzites full protection from etching and staining caused by contact with acid-based food elements. Below is a photo of untreated marble that was exposed to lemon juice, then left to sit.

The next image is the same cut of stone that also had lemon juice applied and left to sit for the same amount of time. The stone below however had the Azerocare treatment.

Pretty incredible right? The treatment must be done at the factory but it can be applied to any stone. This changes the game as far as I’m concerned because now etching and staining is no longer an issue for the softer stones. Hallelujah!
2. Attractive radiator cover:
This was an exciting discovery for me. Here in New England there are so many older homes with these same ugly beige baseboard radiators like the one in the photo. The covers below, called Go-overboards, slide right over the existing heaters. Such a cleaver solution and no messy painting to hide the inevitable rust spots.
3.Beautiful hardware
Cabinetry hardware can make or break the final look of a kitchen or bath project. Hardware is the jewelry of the room and this year at the kitchen and bath show there were so many beautiful choices. One new find for me are these beautiful sculpted wood handles and knobs from Manzoni. I will absolutely be using these in a future project.
4.The LG Styler steam clothing care system
The LG styler is a clothing steam system that freshens clothes in minutes. It comes in a slim 18″ width to fit into a closet and no plumbing is required. It’s deep-penetrating steam and gently moving hangers removes wrinkles in clothes and extends the appearance of clothing between dry cleanings. The Sanitary cycle powered by TrueSteam® also helps reduce allergens in clothes, bedding, sportswear—even your children’s plush toys. This would be perfect for me because I often wear a silk top to a client meeting but then change out of it a few hours later once I return home. My top is not really in need of a full dry cleaning but it would be great to freshen it up.
5. elongated sinks
For downsizing folks like me, these elongated sinks are so practical. One of the biggest problems with small kitchens is that there is never enough counter space. These elongated sinks take care of that lack of space with a variety of inserts that function to chop, drain and prep meals right at the sink. Sign me up! I forget who this manufacture is but these are very popular and most sink manufactures have a version.
6. beautiful statement faucets
I don’t think I have ever seen so many beautiful statement faucets as I did this year at the 2018 kitchen and bath show. It was really hard to chose a favorite but this polished brass with quartz crystal handles from Rohl Faucet is probably it. I was so taken by it I went back and looked at it twice!
7.Toilet paper holders with a twist
My final pick is from Kohler and it is any one of their beautiful new toilet paper holders. What a simple but functional idea to add a little storage along with the holder. I know it might gross some you out to think about bringing a cell phone into the bathroom but studies show 75% of people do. The double roll holder on the right has the perfect little shelf to keep it safe until you have done your business. Okay, I’ll leave it at that!
I’d love to hear from you. Which of my finds is your favorite?

This post is perfect timing for me as I am working on a kitchen project, but everything here I think I need. That steamer is amazing, who wants all those dry cleaning chemicals anyway.
Question, and it may be a total long shot, do you have any idea what the counter is in the kitchen photo? I have been pouring over stone, and really like London Sky Quartz, and thought I had decided, and I see this and say oh my, how beautiful!
Oh, and I totally need those radiator covers…….
Hi Eileen, the counter material is a type of marble. If you go to Antolini’s website there is a good chance it might be listed. Oh, and I agree, those radiator covers are genius!
Linda, as always what would we do without you’re great eye out there curiously finding the best of what’s new. The radiator covers and marble stain proof are pure genius! Always fun to see another Bling Faucet! And love the practicality of the toilet paper shelf!
Thanks so much Debra. I am so thrilled you like my finds.
You sure picked some good ones, but I must admit I love the toilet paper holders (for obvious reasons) and that faucet is a close second! The stain proof marble is my third!
Hi Susan, I agree, those toilet paper holders are fabulous.
Pinned some of these great finds. Loving that Styler….I just proposed it for a client and they loved it!
I would love that styler myself. Actually everything on my list I would like.

Hi Jil, Yes! After all these years a company has solved the staining and etching problem once and for all!
Redoing our kitchen. Have you used the Azerocare marble counters? Curious what your opinion is? No real reviews out there. Thanks for your help!
Hi Kris, sorry but I am unfamiliar with that brand.
